Welcome to the website of the District Judiciary, Abbottabad. The District Judiciary upholds a free and an effective legal system, which supports the rule of law and protects the human rights and freedoms.

Abbottabad is one of the oldest sessions' division. It Established in 1940. Till date as many as 47 District & Sessions Judges (18, w.e.f 1.8.1940 to 8.9.1975 as D&SJ, Hazara and 29, w.e.f 20.9.1975 till date as D&SJ, Abbottabad) have been posted to it.

It is situated at main Silk Road, bounded at all four sides by the Hills, from which residents and tourists can see breathtaking view of the city. This city is well known throughout the country for its pleasant weather, high standard educational institutions and Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul. It remains a popular hill stations attracting thousands of tourists every year. Abbottabad was the headquarter of the Hazara District during British rule of Indian sub-continent. Touring masses en-route to Nathiagali, Narran and Northern areas passes through it. Demographically, its population is 1.5 million. People from different walks of life and areas are settled - making it a multicultural hub, particularly, in the aftermath of “Non state actors” insurgency in various parts of the province.
